Training of Trainers

Want to be a better trainer?

Want to more effectively bring training back to your staff?

Want to become a trainer?

The goal of the Training of Trainers workshop is to enhance the skills of participants in designing materials and providing training through the application of adult learning principles. After completion of the training, participants will be able to:

1. List the conditions which set a positive climate for learning;

2. Identify conditions of adult learning.

3. Describe the adult learning process and utilize it in designing and delivering training;

4. Describe the skills used in various training techniques such as group discussion, role play and lecturettes.

Depending on the experience of the group, this can be a one or two day workshop. Nancy Fastenau, Executive Director of Western States Youth Services Network (WSYSN), is the trainer. Costs are $300 per day and WSYSN members receive a discount.
